new york, new york, big city of dreams

I spent the last two days wandering aimlessly around Manhattan, an itinerary punctuated by separate lunches with my agent and editor. I am bedraggled and a little worse for wear, but I am eager to start working in earnest on completing my cake manuscript.

Because I have a cold that is doing some pre-lingering (that is, it's been trying to get me since last Saturday and feels more like the end of a cold that won't quit), and because I have Baltimorean-in-New York legs, and because I've been stuck in the rain most of the day, I'm calling Thursday quits.
