My poor, neglected blog.
I almost resorted to the song meme the other day, just so I could update. Because even I have to admit that certain times of the day are just not right for pictures of Brussels sprouts.
I want to report on the overuse of adverbs in Harry Potter (Harry said dully). I want to talk about when to use just an apostrophe and when to use apostrophe S. (Hello! You use only an apostrophe only when the word is already plural. A word ending in -s is not always a plural.) I want to talk about Chicago style versus that awful MLA.
And I want to talk about other things, too, like the fact that HGTV has finally nailed down a shoot date (April 21st), even though the episode with yours truly won't air until June or July.
But I am so busy! I have a 20-page paper to edit today, a manuscript to edit and revise, manuscript pages to write, a client's job to do, and the 30 hulking research papers my students turned in Monday.
Never fear. I'll be back soon.
Oh, but while I'm here, please let me put out an SOS to some people from my past. I'd like an update on how they are doing, so if you know them or their whereabouts, please get in touch with me. By mentioning their names, I'm assuring this post pops up in a Google search: Dan Bonham (also Bonzo) from Pennsylvania; Cathy Pearce, from Virginia (last seen in Richmond but from Lynchburg); and June Feinstein from New York. Oh, and in case you're looking for the high school, Rock Scene me, it's Rainbow Leigh. (I know; stop laughing.)

Doggy,
My son is having to follow the MLA format at his high school. When you have time, would compare/contrast the Chicago and MLA styles?
LOL That just sounded like an English class assignment! Buaahaaa.
I really am interested, though.

I always hope it's not me when she pulls out the grammar and punctuation book!
Is the Chicago stlyle like the APA style? I have never heard of the Chicago style. I've heard of and eaten Chicago stlye pizza though.
