Lonely Tree

I'm not the best photographer. I'm sure I don't rank anywhere close to the bottom of the top. But since I've started posting at flickr, I have concentrated more on improving my skills and finding artful but not artificial means of improving the resulting photos.

Today I got a nice compliment from what is probably my favorite of all flickr groups (because it focuses on my favorite subject): the Lonely Tree.

My photo of tree fog was blogged at The Best of Lonely Tree. The work of others there is far superior, however, and I sometimes hear Mike Meyers's voice in my ear, saying, "I'm not worthy!"

This tree is at Herring Run Park, and it's not exactly lonely. I often try to get it alone, but this time, the fog did all the work.
